James Bond Quantum of Solace

I was commisioned by the digital agency ‘Iris Worldwide’ to design the UX for a games website for Sony Ericsson to promote their mobile phone handset used in the the movie Quantum of Solace.  Being a keen gamer since childhood I used my knowledge of games to design and test various mechanics to be utilised in the games.  E.g. I utilised a Dragon’s Lair mechanism for one of the games whereby the user had to press in a certain direction within a certain time limit to continue in the game.  Other games used the concepts of quests and game maps, as well as mechanics from FPS games.  The website proved to be successful for Sony Ericsson and was even advertised in the movie’s pre-roll credits at the cinema.
